You should consider maintaining a healthy and appropriate weight. Cut down on the saturated carbohydrates and cholesterol containing food. It is not just important for your heart rate but it will also prevent your body from getting excess fat accumulated within the arteries and abdominal muscles.

Use constructive methods to deal with stress and make sure to get yourself examined regularly for the blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol level.
